Install curl<\/p>\n
sudo apt-get install curl -y<\/p>\n
Now add source repositories, there are three separate lines here<\/p>\n

Make sure it runs<\/p>\n
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install deb-multimedia-keyring<\/p>\n
Update and install the plex media server<\/p>\n
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install plexmediaserver -y<\/p>\n
See if you can connect at http:\/\/ip.address:32400\/manage\/index.html<\/p>\n
Plex media server will autoboot \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
If you are getting permission issues it is because Plex runs as its own user, you can change the user Plex Media Server runs as to fix the permission issues you get from CouchPotato, SickRage, Sonarr, Headphones and others.<\/p>\n
sudo nano \/etc\/default\/plexmediaserver<\/p>\n
Find this line<\/p>\n
PLEX_MEDIA_SERVER_USER = plex<\/p>\n
Change plex to your regular user<\/p>\n
PLEX_MEDIA_SERVER_USER = username<\/p>\n
Ctrl+X, Y and Enter to save the configuration<\/p>\n
Restart the Plex Media Server service<\/p>\n
sudo service plexmediaserver restart<\/p>\n
Configure Plex Media Server<\/p>\n
Open up your Plex web interface at http:\/\/ip.address:32400\/web<\/p>\n
NOTE: Plex media server must be configured form localhost.
